Current queens run S$1,614 (Success) to S$3,899 (Elevate Charm) on promotional pricing — which, as everywhere in this industry, is the real price wearing a discount costume.

The catch: no trial, mattresses are non-refundable, and the 10-year guarantee wants you registered within 21 days and sagging past 32mm before it cares. Several buyers also reported showroom hard-sell. Test it at a multi-brand floor instead, then buy where the price is best.

The spring warranty protects the spring, not your comfort.

MaxCoil is a local manufacturer selling mostly through Tan Boon Liat furniture floors, which is why you’ve never seen an ad. Mainstream queens run S$799–1,399; the Ice Sleep cooling model (S$2,299) earned our favourite unsolicited review: “like air-con inside the mattress.”

The catch: orders are final — no trial, no refunds — and the 15-year warranty covers free repair in year one only, pro-rated after, with registration required.

Skip it if you need showroom hand-holding or a famous logo for the same money — that’s genuinely the trade that funds the price.

But no brand divided our threads harder. The same foam that earns decade-long loyalty gets “fine in the store, rock hard at home” from others — one buyer threw theirs out after two months — and memory foam runs warm in this climate (“very warm after 15 minutes”). Here’s the problem: Tempur Singapore offers no trial at all — purchases are explicitly non-exchangeable and non-refundable. A four-figure bet with no undo button.

In a market where “no trial, non-refundable” is the norm, IKEA is the only seller betting its own money on your satisfaction.

The most-advertised mattress in Singapore, and at S$799 for the Hybrid queen (perpetually “50% off” S$1,598), a reasonable buy on pure comfort per dollar — plenty of our threads’ buyers are satisfied. But Origin is here with an asterisk, because the famous “120-night risk-free trial” has terms several buyers discovered the hard way: you must sleep on it at least 25 nights before returning, any stain voids the refund entirely and adds a S$100 penalty fee, one return per household, no size exchanges, and the 15-year warranty applies only if you bought direct from their site — not via marketplaces.

Use a mattress protector from night one and keep the receipt, or treat the trial as decoration.
